HP 6460b ProBook 13.3 update problem(s)

I have a working 10.13.1 on my HP 6460b...
I tried to update to 10.13.3:  At first try, I could not update with the existing EFI, because during update the machine rebooted again and again....Also I could not update the clover...

So, I changed the EFI.
Now I could update to 10.13.3, but NO WIFI !!!  (others are ok)
I am unable to fix the problem for a week.... (I am near to go crazy...)

Please help me check my EFI, where is the wrong setting(s) ...

Wifi works before Update or not working ??

CPU is : i7 2760 QM (2.4ghz 4/8 core 6 M cache, 45W)


the WIFI is perfectly works with 10.13.1
for safety sake, I made a clone drive, so I updated clone drive to 10.13.3 . This is problematic. BUT, I had to make a new clover/EFI because with the original 10.13.1 version I could not update. Always reboot. I dont know why... The original EFI which is perfect with 10.13.1 is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fcaauktj9l5xv9o/EFI_orig.zip?dl=0. Maybe it needs a Fat64.efi to the clover? ...or something similar problem... I am playing with 5 days already but not find the solution... THANK YOU YOUR HELP !!!!!

For the Update I need more infos about the issue, because lots of issue existe for High Sierra Updated. its a know issue.

For the Wifi, the Broadcom patch as change it's almost certain, so you need wait for the new patch or try to create your patch.

I see your Driver64UEFI you have both OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi this is not good!!

I think you are using my programme and the one from Pokenguyen and the Clover Source Forge Package so you have mixed lot of stuff

Thank you! I already tried to copy (with kext wizard) the IO80211family.kext to the updated system from the 13.1 , but no success. I think this patch will be more complex.... THANK YOU anyway ! I will use till the new patch my 13.1 version. I found that even card reader is perfectly working if I switch off in the bios the firewire. So when I need the firewire I switch on again... I read many posts claiming the card reader. I found the two things (card reader and firewire) can not work at the same time.

I made a new “clean” 10.13.3 install following 100 % your guide, because I understood there is some confusion in my previous EFI. The WIFI problem not solved unfortunately.

BUT, what is further more interesting when I applied the new “clean” EFI to my fully working 10.13.1, the WIFI has gone! So, I think there is a “wifi killer” setting in this EFI ! When I changed back to the previous EFI, the WIFI came back . I tried to copy the kexts to and fro, also the complete clover folder, but no solution .

So, the problem is not about the “required new patch” but about the EFI setting. I kindly ask you to help me find out what cause this absurd WIFI situation.

The working clover is 4222 version, the new is 4411 version… I can use the working 4222, BUT, I can not update to 10.13.3 because the install goes to a reboot circle…. The new clover allows the update BUT no WIFI…. THIS IS really crazy situation… I do not sleep for three days….

I enclose the two version of EFI help me find out where is the WIFI killer setting. As I told, the same system (10.13.1) has WIFI with one EFI (EFI_WIFI) , but no WIFI with the other (New_EFI) .

Try this solution, it has helped me and wifi BCM943224hms works    

You need a kext on the fly.
Download kext and paste EFI-Clover-Kexts.

Do you need Broadcom 43224 whitelist in kext to patch ?

No patch, only this kext.
Of course the wifi card is hp brand.

After sleep the bluetooth is going away... If I sleep/wake again, the bluetooth returns (???)
Firewire works, BUT if it is enabled in BIOS than no card reader. So you must select if you wish to use card reader or firewire in BIOS... I think this is really small things.... I have a perfect hackintosh . THANK YOU!

What you have change in EFI ?
Card reader is not bootable
Hand off I am not using it

1., EFI: When I added the AppleAhciPort patch I made a small syntax error... It was working but when tried to open with clover configurator turn out the problem, which is fixed now.

2., I dont want to boot from card reader.
The problem is : if there is a SD card (with photos, etc) in the slot when I boot with it, there is no problem . BUT,
When I boot without any card in the slot, then after the boot, - the card reader does not recognise the SD card.

I had the same problem with eSATA(USB) port. When I booted the machine with the PLUGED IN the external drive, I could use this external drive, BUT, if the external drive was not pluged in while booting, than I could not connect to the external drive....

I think also need some patch for card-reader in the AppleAHCIPort. (???) I am not expert, so may be something else is the solution....

The config.plist in the ProBook installer is the Default config  for all EFI I will ad the patch for eSATA on all EFI
the SMBIOS and the other patches you have to add them yourself

I dont have any issue for my card reader

For the eSATA the Drive Mount if you have a patch for it in config.plist I just test right now

I found the solution for the strange card-reader behaviours:
If I install the HSSDBlockstorage.kext and JMB38X.kext into S/L/E, than the card-reader works perfectly !!! . I think in this case the kexts, are working independently from cache....

I am very happy now !
